Known as the Kellogg’s Cereal rooster “Cornelius,” the Welsummer is a smaller layer breed, similar in size to Ameraucana and Cream Legbar. They grow slower than dual-purpose Marans or Wyandottes.

Bred for beautiful dark terracotta-brown eggs and excellent free-range foraging, Welsummers often outlay Marans. Show quality is not guaranteed.
