2024 Updates:
We will no longer be selling hatching eggs or chicks/poults of these breeds: Houdan, Cream Brabanter, White Marans, Breda Fowl, Swedish Flower, Cochin, White Ameraucana and turkeys.
This is due to rising feed costs and time restrictions. Thank you for your understanding.
Wild Acres believes in quality not quantity. Orders are limited each year as we have smaller breeding flocks. We sell hatching eggs in April, May and June and we only sell day-old chicks and ducklings in May and June.
Wild Acres shows poultry and breeds towards the Standard of Perfection, but we cannot guarantee show quality. We do not offer refunds on chicks nor hatching eggs. We do not take back any birds once they are hatched at your place nor birds that were purchased and have left our property due to biosecurity reasons.
Hatching eggs are shipped to BC, YT, AB, SK and MB in April, May and June depending on availability via Xpresspost only.
We no longer ship hatching eggs to ON, QC or the eastern provinces due to shipping delays, cost factors and other circumstances.
Please see our webpage Hatching Eggs | Wild Acres regarding the shipment of eggs. We will not ship less than a dozen eggs, but you can have more than one breed in that dozen. All eggs are dated and labelled as to what type they are with pencil. We require a $20 deposit per order on fertile eggs to reserve them for you. All eggs must be paid in full before shipping. Payments can be made via Interac email transfer after your order is accepted.
While we take every care in preparing eggs for shipping, they are dispatched completely at your own risk. We do not offer refunds nor replacements in the event of breakages, internal damage caused during shipping, nor poor hatches. Remember you are buying EGGS, not guaranteed chicks. Expect a 50% loss or more on shipped eggs and there will be losses on picked up eggs as well.
There is no guarantee on shipped eggs, we assume that the buyer is aware of all the risks with shipping hatching eggs before making a purchase. We do not offer refunds on deposits unless we can’t supply the order. Canada Post does not offer insurance on hatching eggs nor offer refunds.
All chicks and ducklings are sold unsexed (approx. 50% male and 50% female) We do not vaccinate our chicks, ducklings or goslings, but we do follow biosecurity protocols. We no longer ship chicks or ducklings. All livestock will be picked up at our farm gate by appointment on Sunday afternoons.
We do not take Visa, personal cheques nor money orders. We accept Interac email transfers and cash at our farm gate. After your order is accepted by us, there will be a 20% deposit on chick and waterfowl orders (min. of $20 deposit on small orders) sent to us via Interac email transfer to info@wildacres.ca
We do not sell pullets, laying hens, roosters or other adult birds due to biosecurity reasons. We do not ship eggs or poultry to other countries.
